Chief Administrative Law Judge
Lesli Ginn became the State Office of Administrative Hearings’ fourth Chief Administrative Law Judge on May 1, 2016.
Before joining the State Office of Administrative Hearings, she was the Chief of the Financial Litigation and Charitable Trusts Division of the Texas Attorney General’s Office, where she served for more than ten years. During her time with the Attorney General’s Office, she represented state agencies and officials before district and appellate courts, both state and federal, and handled a wide variety of litigation, including matters related to insurance, securities, banking, benefits, gaming, open records, tax, and unemployment compensation, as well as the defense of statutes, rules, orders, and other administrative law matters.
She is a member of the State Bar of Texas and has served on the Council of its Administrative and Public Law Section since 2010, including as the Chair. She received a Bachelor of Science from Texas State University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Houston Law Center.
